Pakistani Passport Ranked Fourth From The Bottom; Just Better Than Syria, Iraq And Afghanistan

Pakistan will have to wait a little longer for its passport to climb up the Henley Passport Index. Regrettably, Pakistani passport is still the fourth worst in the world and is currently positioned at 109 on the list. Consequently, the value of Pakistani passport is only better than that of Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

According to Henley Passport Index 2022, Pakistan has a visa-free access to only 31 destinations. It is worth mentioning that Pakistan hasn’t moved up [or down] in the ranking for the last 3 years. In 2018, Pakistan’s passport ranking was better than Somalia but in 2020, the positions swapped with each other. Passports of countries including Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Libya, North Korea and Sudan have fared better than the green passport.

On the contrary, Japan and Singapore share No. 1 position with visa-free access to as many as whopping 192 countries. Furthermore, South Korea and Germany also continue to share the No. 2 spot in the ranking. The passport holders from both countries are able to visit 190 destinations around the world visa-free.
